Batteries say full charge but completly dies after 2 feet.

I have an older RL500. It has been on the charger all winter in a heated garage. I took it out toaday, the batteries say full charge, and when I have it in Manual Mode to move it around, it goes about 2 feet and completly dies. If you wait about 5 seconds, everything comes back on and it continues to die again after another couple of feet.

Any Suggestions?

Sounds like classic battery failure. How old are your batteries?
